Linda - Problems... probably not.. but here are some things to consider. (1) a camera with more IR emitters will be larger, and may distract from your house. (2) More IRs means more $$$. Why spend more if you do not need it :) (3) A camera with more IRs may have a higher mm lens size, and may not offer as wide of an angle view. (4) Higher IR intensity cameras are typically designed to see things further away, and (depending on the quality of the camera) may have a tendency to make a close-up subject over bright at night.

Thanks! I have a "normal" sized lot, but am considering a camera that can see further in complete darkness. Could this create any unforeseen problems?

Another good question. Answer... you may very well need a cctv camera with more emitters / greater IR range, should you live outside the city or simply have a larger than normal-sized lot. Since the 602IR combines built-in IR emitters with a full chip Sony Super HAD, it will see in complete darkness for 40' - 60', but only requires a VERY small amount of light to see beyond that.

Why not get a camera that has more IR emitters that can see further in darkness?

Linda - There are many types of good cctv cameras that could be used for residential surveillance. However, considering typical lighting conditions and desired picture, I believe the KG-602IR is the best bang for your buck... a low-cost / hi-res camera thats easy to install, is low-profile as NOT to take away from the ascetics of your house , and will offer a great picture regardless of your lighting conditions.
