tconnor I just tried Googling the model number and was able to find some basic information on that camera, but unfortunately nothing related to the control or anything like that.

I did find that the DFD models apparently only have a digital zoom, though (meaning that they will just blow up pixels and not actually refocus the lens to improve the picture), meaning that even if you can get the zoom function working it unfortunately probably won't really do very much to improve your picture. If you were interested in investing in a pro-grade system, please let me know and I'll be happy to get something set up for you.

One other thing did occur to me, did your camera come with a manual? There may be troubleshooting tips in there somewhere.
jaymar I'll try to do..it is not a PTZ it is a DFD 22x camera with housing...
tconnor Is this a PTZ camera (one that can move around and zoom in or out) or just a camera with an automatic zoom (one that will zoom in or out and that's it)? In either case there are several things that could cause an issue like this:

-Make sure that the camera and the controller are set to the same control protocol, and that they're set to the same channel. For example, if your controller is set to use Pelco-D, Channel 1, make sure your camera is set to Pelco-D, Channel 1 as well.
-It's possible that you simply don't have a good connection and so the camera isn't getting the instructions your controller is sending it. Check the integrity of your control cable to make sure that it didn't get pinched or accidentally cut during your install, and also check to make sure that you have a good, sturdy connection into the camera and into your controller (please note that if your camera is PTZ and is moving around but not zooming, this is probably not the case).
-It's also possible your cable runs are too long, and the control signal does not have enough power to reach the camera. To test this, remove the camera from where you have it mounted, bring it inside, and connect it directly to the controller with as little cable in between as possible. If your zoom function starts working under these conditions, you'll need to find an alternate mounting location or otherwise shorten your run.

If everything above checks out and find that your camera is still not zooming, it's possible that there is something mechanically wrong with the lens itself, in which case it would need to be examined by the manufacturer or one of their field techs.
jaymar anybody can help me with my problem..my 22x camera is not zooming how to troubleshoot it.
