tconnor There are a few possible culprits for this. Open your DVR up (so you can physically see the hard drive) and make sure all the connections are seated properly, which you can do simply by pushing on them to make sure they aren't loose. If that doesn't solve the problem, you can also go into the menus of your DVR and see if it will allow you to reformat the drive (I've seen it happen in the past where "no hard disk found" actually meant that the drive wasn't formatted properly, not that the DVR wasn't actually detecting the disk).

If neither of those work, though, then you may just have a bad hard drive, meaning that you'll need to purchase a replacement. If that is the case, just be sure to get one that's marked as "server grade" or "enterprise grade" to make sure it's up to the challenge of working in a DVR. Incidentally, since most HDs carry 2 or 3 year warranties, you may also be able to get a warranty replacement from the manufacturer, however you'll need to contact them directly to find out about that.
raul to anybody can help pls.....help for my problem regarding to the error of dvr that no hard disk found when i press record botton....
