tconnor What exactly does the error message read?

Make sure that the DVR has footage stored for the time that you're interested in, and that you're entering the time into the DVR correctly. These are both easy mistakes to make that can cause the DVR to give you an error message without there being anything wrong (because it thinks it's being told to pull up video that it doesn't have).

If you're sure that there should be video for the time that you're specifying and still getting the error, it's possible your hard drive has developed bad sectors (which would cause certain files to start acting strangely, resulting in error messages) and would need to be replaced.
cemport01 I reboot DVR can do search and play for 1 selection. try to do another I get error
It can't open file system: -1 Happens with remote search also. Is there any maintence that needs to be done DVR. Been running for 2 years now.
