Remote viewing question 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I have a Clover standalone DVR that I can view over the internet. I have it set up through a router via port forwarding. I use the Clover software to view it remotely. I have it set up where I just have to punch in the IP address of my business and the software allows me to view remotely, which I am able to do. My question is what do I need to do to get more images per second, or be able to view it not time lapsed? If I view it from my business location, on the same network as the DVR, I am able to view with no lapse at all, however when I view from home I am only able to get like 5 to 7 images per second. Is there anyway to view remotely with no lapse. I have standard DSL at my work location and 18mbps at home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. More than anything, my main concern with your system is NOT how fast it displays the video over the internet... but how good the quality of the recorded video is. I highly suggest that you look at the recording preferences, and ensure that you are recording at 640x480 or better. Please note that for true full screen recording, the second number MUST be 480. I suspect that you are actually recording at quarter screen, and that the Clover system is then stretching the picture to full screen (simulating full screen).

In regards to the remote frame rate, the only thing that may help is upping the level of DSL service for your work location.
