Playback will not work 1 Year, 10 Months ago
I just received my DVR today. Hooked up 2 cameras, everything seemed to work wonderful. Pressed record, was recording. When I went to playback mode, the date/time stamp was wrong, and it also said it had recorded for a total time of 00:00:00. When I tried to play that event, it had a completely different date/time stamp than in the events list, as well as from the actual date and time.
I decided to turn off the machine and try again. Upon powering up, I was greeted with the start-up message asking me if I wanted to format the hard drive. I said no, then it said there was no hard drive available. I turned it off again, and this time when I powered up, I formated the drive. The same thing with the playback happened yet again.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

What is the make & model of the DVR? Where did you purchase it from?

So far, I would say that either the HD was not formatted, or is not being properly recognized by the DVR for some reason. I will be pleased to advise you further once I have a better idea of the make & model.
